This is going to be a diary of my expedition to the galactic core (I wonder how long until I get back...). It's more an experiment than anything else. I have decided to make an audio blog + pictures giving the fact that my connection is too slow to work with video. Let me know what you think. wp.me/P65cHf-bE

Nice sights Spasiano and cool page. This makes my short exploration trip so dull in comparison. I just thought that it was not worth the time and effort to explore. I didnt find it much fun and it certainly was not rewarding. Its fun to look for earth likes and other things but it should be rewarding when you do, which just feels like a waste of time when you see the credit rewards

CMDR CaptainHandsome and CMDR Kotecki's first longer exploration expedition. So far no accidents! We've found the strange "Barnacle" structure witch contains several different materials as well as Meta-alloys. There are strange markings on center structure.

This is pretty cool! If I am honest I have already played with the thought to fly to the system yesterday.
Were you able to collect some of the interesting materials? It is possible to store temporarily such materials and in order to be ready for later operation.?

Yes, I found something called "Meta-alloys" which has no description in game, but is salvageable. It has a gallactic avg. price of 83000. But I think I will keep them since I suspect there something more into it, perhaps it has something to do with the UA's (Unkown artifact).
I will try to analyse the Barnacle for further clues since it has markings on it and emits strange sounds and lighting. I got so excited that I actually video-documented the whole thing haha.

I'd suppose, we would need a larger quantity of "meta-alloys" in a high-tech station in order to trigger something ... the prefix meta- is used to mean about (its own category). For example, metadata are data about data (who has produced them, when, what format the data are in and so on). In database metadata are also data about data stored in a data dictionary and describes information (data) about database tables such as the table name, table owner, details about columns, – essentially describes the table. Also, metamemory in psychology means an individual's knowledge about whether or not they would remember something if they concentrated on recalling it. The modern sense of "an X about X" has given rise to concepts like "meta-cognition" (i.e. cognition about cognition), "meta-emotion" (i.e. emotion about emotion), "meta-discussion" (i.e. discussion about discussion), "meta-joke" (i.e. joke about jokes), and "metaprogramming" (i.e. writing programs that manipulate programs In a rule-based system, a metarule is a rule that governs the application of other rules Attachments:

The trip continues on. I found a downed anaconda on a deserted planet on my way back from populated space towards my next goal. I had to go back to switch out my power plant due less power/tonnage. I found rare material and a new one, but what took the Anaconda done is still a mystery. There is no signs of battle on the wreckage but there are containers spread out on the crash site which suggests that someone or something has been looking for something.

I am now a bit excited about exploration and such challenges. maybe I'll start a trip too. Which ship are you currently using? Would be OK to fit my clipper for exploration or better the classic one: the explorer? Please have a look at this post: forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=222049

Well, i'm back in populated space now and getting ready for the mission on Sunday for our beloved ADL and the White templars. I am using an Anaconda as my exploration vessel. It depends on how comfortable you are to fly naked since that's what you have to do with the clipper if you want to get as long jump range as possible. However, the clipper has bigger cargo capability so it's a trade of (if you want to be able to pick up cargo you'll find on planets etc. But in the end it comes down to personal preferences, I've never flown a clipper so I can't really tell how well it performs as a exploration vessel. The explorer is great and fairly cheap to outfit for exploration, hate the design however
